Location is convenient for walking to downtown. The room cleanliness could definitely be better, as the bathroom needed attention.

Location is excellent, walking distance to attractions. Our room had a musty smell and was in need of updates.

I had a fantastic time walking around this charming area, it was just a short walk from several restaurants like The Iconic Burger and Bodensee, and stunning attractions like Unicoi Hill Park and the Live Tarantulas Museum were all within less than a mile so you can easily enjoy all that Helen offers while admiring the beautiful scenery, the hotel offered great features like a pool and fitness center too, but I think there could be some improvements in the room cleanliness.

the room cleanliness left much to be desired; there was toothpaste on the mirrors and roaches on the counter. The fitted sheet consistently popped off, and the pillows were worn out. The air conditioning unit was noisy and poorly maintained, and the bathroom fixtures showed significant wear. There was a strange odor in the hallway, and the overall atmosphere felt unclean. While the staff were sweet and helpful, the room’s condition significantly impacted our comfort.

The room was filthy with sticky counters and a moldy bathtub. We had to force the door open, and to top it off, the staff was unhelpful and rude. Totally not worth it.

Pleasant stay, pleasant location with easy access to nearby attractions and a delightful free breakfast that made starting the day enjoyable.
Nothing could be improved.

Disappointing experience. The positives: clean room, good location, and a restaurant nearby with live music. Unfortunately, the negatives overshadowed any positives. Customer service was lacking. We faced unauthorized charges, and attempts to resolve it were met with rudeness. The hotel is cluttered and undergoing renovations, which added to the discomfort. Room issues included a dirty environment, malfunctioning appliances, and noise disturbances. Breakfast was inadequate—just yogurt. The pool was empty, and cleanliness was clearly not a priority. At nearly $500 for two nights, the value simply wasn't there. I wouldn’t return or recommend this place. Better options exist.

The garden area was a delightful escape filled with vibrant flowers and cozy seating. I loved hanging out in the leisure room, which was perfect for unwinding after a busy day. The spacious room made me feel right at home and added to the whole joyful vibe of my stay!

Great location—easy walking to everything. Clean room, but the first one had issues; a leaked toilet and a pill on the couch were unsettling. The staff was friendly and switched us to a nice suite without extra charge, but the ice machine was down. No hot water in the shower and strange noises from above made it hard to relax. The place felt cluttered with renovations and needed cleaning and updates. A maintenance mistake led to an uncomfortable moment. Breakfast was decent, though. It shows promise with the new owner, but many things need fixing.

The staff was super friendly and helped us with everything. The beds were comfy and perfect for a good night's sleep!
It wasn't really budget-friendly, but you get what you pay for.

Our family had a blast exploring the picturesque vineyards at CeNita and enjoying delicious wines at Habersham. The serene ambiance and delightful flavors made our stay truly memorable. The kids loved running around the vineyards, and we enjoyed some quality family time.
My wife says that having a designated play area for kids would enhance the family experience.

I loved sipping coffee on the patio while soaking up the stunning view. The fireplace and jacuzzi tub added some serious charm to my stay.
Hot water? More like lukewarm reality.

Great location in the city center, close to shops and restaurants. The staff was friendly and accommodating, providing quick responses to any requests.
The hotel definitely needs some renovations, as the rooms were outdated and in need of some TLC. The cleanliness could have been improved, as we noticed some issues with bed linens and bathroom cleanliness.

We hit up CeNita Vineyards for a wine tour and then swung by Habersham Winery for some more tasting. The vibes were epic, and the wine was on point. Perfect spots for a chill time with the squad.
Could use a cool rooftop bar or lounge area for late-night hangs after exploring Helen! .

The friendly service and comfortable amenities made me feel right at home in Helen. I used the business center to get things done. Savoring hiking, biking, and boating at Unicoi State Park was fantastic!
Accessing an occupied room twice was a unique experience! .

The location was ideal, right by restaurants and bars, and close to tourist spots. The room smelled fresh and clean, which made our stay pleasant. Additionally, the beds were comfortable for a good night's rest after exploring the area during the holiday season.
The room lacked adequate heating as the heater seemed non-functional, leaving us to rely solely on the fireplace, which was inconsistent in providing the right temperature. The fridge didn't close securely, the tub needed cleaning before use, and the TV remote was unresponsive, making it frustrating to use.

Great location and spacious rooms. Used towels and unclean areas were disappointing.

So, my experience at the Baymont was a bit of a rollercoaster. Let's start with the good stuff , the room we finally got into was pretty spacious and the beds were surprisingly comfy. I appreciated that they had free parking available, which is always a plus. The breakfast was decent, I particularly enjoyed the eggs. On the downside, there were quite a few issues. The first room they gave us had a flickering light and was missing basic essentials like towels and toilet paper. After changing rooms a couple of times, we finally settled in, but it turned out there were bed bugs in the bed, yikes! Definitely not what you want to deal with on a trip. The cleanliness of the rooms left a lot to be desired, with dog hair on the duvets and general untidiness. The staff also had some misses , the lady at the front desk took forever to get us an extra blanket, which turned out to be a thin curtain folded up, not exactly what we needed. The pool was a no, go, with only 3 feet of dirty water. And the state of the fitness room was disappointing, with visible water damage and mess all around. I'd say the Baymont has some serious room for improvement. It has potential, but it needs to step up its game in terms of cleanliness, staff responsiveness, and room maintenance. Hopefully, they can address these issues for a better experience.

I chose Baymont to visit Unicoi State Park, and was pleased with the helpful customer service agents who provided valuable assistance with planning my visit. The complimentary hot breakfast with fresh baked biscuits and gravy was a delightful start to my day.
Inconsistent room cleanliness and amenities.

We had a fantastic time exploring the nearby shops and restaurants within walking distance. The area was very family-friendly and made our stay enjoyable. The breakfast was also a great addition to our stay. The only drawback was the unreliable Wi-Fi. Overall I'll recommend this hotel.

Our family recently stayed at a hotel in Helen, GA that was within walking distance to downtown. The hotel was impressively clean, and it was clear that the family who owned it took pride in their property. The older building was well-maintained, and the rooms were comfortable for both adults and children. We enjoyed the convenience of amenities such as free Wi-Fi, on-site car park, and a 24-hour reception. The location, not far from the main area of events, provided easy access to attractions and restaurants.
